The trailer for the new film by writer/director Darren Aronofsky (The Wrestler, Requeim For A Dream) is now online. It's a most intriguing looking ballet film called Black Swan, set to be released 1st December.
Fox Searchlight describes Black Swan as "A psychological thriller set in the world of New York City ballet, BLACK SWAN stars Natalie Portman as Nina, a featured dancer who finds herself locked in a web of competitive intrigue with a new rival at the company (Mila Kunis). A Fox Searchlight Pictures release by visionary director Darren Aronofsky (THE WRESTLER), BLACK SWAN takes a thrilling and at times terrifying journey through the psyche of a young ballerina whose starring role as the duplicitous swan queen turns out to be a part for which she becomes frighteningly perfect.
I'm looking forward to this as I'm a fan of Natalie Portman and Aronofsky, who is a film maker that always does interesting and exciting work. The film also stars one of my favorite actors - Vincent Cassel (Eastern Promises, Oceans 12, Irreversible)
